What is Mega Meal?
Mega Meal provides the app through which you can order meals at your institution. Orders are forwarded to the respective caterer. Mega Meal is not a food delivery service.
Does Mega Meal also deliver the food?
No, Mega Meal is purely an ordering app. The food is delivered by the catering company or prepared directly at the institution.
I have multiple children – do I need multiple accounts?
No. In the Mega Meal app, you can manage any number of eaters (children, family members) in a single account. Simply add a new eater under "Profile".
How can I top up my balance?
You can top up your balance directly in the app – via credit card, SEPA direct debit, PayPal, or bank transfer. Available payment methods depend on your caterer.
What happens to unused balance?
Your balance does not expire. If you no longer need your account, please contact your caterer for a refund of the remaining balance.
Who sets the order and cancellation deadlines?
Order and cancellation deadlines are agreed between the catering company and the institution. Mega Meal has no influence on these.
My child has a food intolerance
Please check with your institution whether the caterer can accommodate intolerances. Allergens are marked in the meal plan if provided by the caterer.
Education and Participation benefits (BuT)
Please send your entitlement certificate directly to your caterer. They will adjust the meal price accordingly and handle the billing with the social welfare office.
How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly in the app under Profile > Settings. Any remaining balance will be refunded through your caterer.
